A bit about me...
Linda Wans BHSc CDT
I am a qualified Dermal Clinician with a Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Clinical Dermal Therapies from Victoria University (VU) in Melbourne, Australia.
I have been a member of the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians (ASDC) since 2008, and part of the elected committee since 2010. During my 15 years industry experience, I have worked at a prominent Skin Clinic and Surgery in Muenster (Germany), where I specialized in Permanent Hair Removal with Electroepilation; Therapeutic Acne Treatments; Chemical Peels; General Skin Treatments for sun damaged & aged skin as well as the management and treatment of various disorders related to the skin, including Medical Pedicures, Scarring, Rosacea & Eczema.
In working closely with Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons and Nurses, I gained an exceptional drive for therapeutically correcting disorders related to the skin.
Since I came to Australia to complete the Bachelor Degree in Clinical Dermal Therapies, I have been working in a well-known Skin Clinic in Malvern, where I specialized in medical grade skin treatments with therapeutic active products and high quality medical Laser and Pulse Light equipment. I have successfully treated patients with various skin disorders including Acne, Scarring, Pigmentation, Rosacea, Vascular problems of the face, neck and body as well as aged and sun damaged Skin (loss of laxity and function). I have also specialized in podiatric treatments such as medical pedicures, Onychomycosis (Fungal infections of the nail) treatments and Wart removal on hands and feet.
I have attended multiple educational workshops & conferences, am interested in growing my knowledge regarding skin & health and strive to achieve optimal results with maximum patient satisfaction.
Since June 2013 I have been lecturing in the Dermal Science program at Victoria University, as well as offering specialized services, relating to skin, in a medical clinic in Brighton, Victoria.
I have also specialized in medical & cosmetic Micropigmentation (Tattooing for medical & aesthetic purposes) and am lecturing in this subject as part of the Dermal Science program at Victoria University.
I am a strong believer in continuous education and evidence based research and practice.
