Meet Linda
My name is Linda Wans, Founder of MediSkin Skin & Laser Clinic and Senior Dermal Clinician with a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Dermal Therapies from Victoria University.
My journey in the health and beauty industry began in Germany in 2000, where I completed an Advanced Beauty Therapy Apprenticeship before working within a dermatological skin clinic and cosmetic surgery practice. During this time, I specialised in permanent hair removal with electrolysis, therapeutic acne treatments, chemical peels, and the management of sun-damaged, ageing, and inflammatory skin conditions such as rosacea and eczema. Working closely alongside dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and nursing staff sparked a strong passion for corrective and therapeutic skin treatments — something that still drives my work today.
After relocating to Australia in 2006, I continued my education in Dermal Therapy and gained extensive experience working with advanced medical-grade skin treatments, laser, and IPL technologies. Over the years, I have successfully treated a wide range of skin concerns including acne, scarring, pigmentation, vascular lesions, rosacea, sun damage, ageing skin, fungal nail infections, and wart removal treatments.
I became a member of the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians in 2008 and later served on its elected committee from 2010–2015. I also lectured within the Dermal Science program at Victoria University, helping educate and support future dermal clinicians.
In 2013, my partner and I relocated to Bairnsdale, where I fulfilled a long-held dream of opening MediSkin Skin & Laser Clinic within the Bairnsdale Health & Wellness Centre. After 11 wonderful years there, MediSkin moved into its own purpose-designed Skin Sanctuary in February 2026, now proudly located at 25A Wood Street, Bairnsdale — creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment dedicated entirely to advanced skin health and rejuvenation.
I am passionate about combining science, advanced technology, and a personalised approach to help clients achieve healthy, confident skin. Ongoing education and evidence-based practice remain a strong focus of mine, and I regularly attend workshops, seminars, and advanced training both within Australia and overseas.
When I’m not immersed in the world of skin, I enjoy spending time outdoors and with my family.
Friendly Greetings,
Linda

Meet Melissa (Mel)

My name is Melissa (Mel) Peisley, and I am a Senior Dermal Clinician and Beauty Therapist with over 16 years of experience in the health and skin industry. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Dermal Therapies from Victoria University and bring a strong clinical background combined with a calm, caring, and personalised approach to client care.
Originally from Genoa in East Gippsland, I am excited to have returned to the region and bring my experience, knowledge, and city-based expertise back home to country Victoria.
Over the years, I have worked extensively within a well-established, results-driven skin clinic in Hawthorn, where I gained valuable experience across advanced skin treatments, customised treatment planning, and long-term skin management. I am passionate about evidence-based skin therapies and helping clients achieve real, long-lasting results while ensuring they feel comfortable, supported, and understood throughout their skin journey.
I have a particular interest in barrier repair, education-led care, and creating tailored treatment programs suited to each individual’s skin needs and goals. I am highly experienced with medical-grade skincare ingredients and advanced treatment modalities and pride myself on delivering treatments that are both results-focused and holistic in approach.
At MediSkin Skin & Laser Clinic, I will also be offering threading, waxing, and sugaring services. Threading is a precise and gentle hair removal technique ideal for facial hair and eyebrow shaping, while waxing and sugaring provide additional options that can be tailored to different skin types and personal preferences.
Outside of the clinic, I am a busy mum of three and value balance, connection, and genuine care — qualities I naturally bring into my work every day. When I’m not helping clients feel confident in their skin, I’m enjoying family life and everything our beautiful region has to offer.
Warmest Greetings,
Mel

Together, Linda and Mel combine deep clinical expertise with warmth, care, and a shared passion for helping clients feel confident in their skin.

A bit about our Skin Care Ranges

We believe healthy skin starts with a strong, balanced skin barrier. Our approach goes beyond simply treating surface concerns — we focus on understanding the underlying internal and external factors contributing to your skin condition while supporting long-term skin health and function.
That is why we carefully selected Dermatonics from Australia and Prologic from New Zealand as our primary professional skincare ranges. Both brands are specifically formulated for the harsh UV exposure, environmental stressors, and climate conditions of the Southern Hemisphere and are deeply aligned with the principles of corneotherapy — an advanced skin health philosophy focused on repairing and preserving the skin barrier, microbiome, and overall skin integrity.
Dermatonics combines advanced biochemistry with therapeutic skin correction, focusing on inflammation management, microbiome support, hydration, and barrier repair without relying on harsh or unnecessary ingredients. Prologic takes a holistic, corneotherapeutic approach using skin-identical ingredients, essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and advanced botanicals to support healthy skin function while addressing concerns such as sensitivity, rosacea, acne, pigmentation, dehydration, and ageing.
Both ranges share a philosophy of working with the skin rather than against it — avoiding aggressive over-treatment and focusing instead on restoring resilience, balance, and long-term skin health. Combined with our advanced clinical treatments and personalised treatment plans, these ranges allow us to deliver results-driven care while protecting and strengthening the skin for the future.
Dermatonics — Australian-Made
Science-Driven Skin Health

Dermatonics is an Australian-made professional skincare range developed in the Blue Mountains, NSW, by husband-and-wife team Dr Donna Lee Marçal and Dr Helder Marçal. With strong backgrounds in human biochemistry and scientific research, the range was created to bridge the gap between advanced skin science and long-term skin health.
Dermatonics focuses heavily on inflammation management, microbiome support, and repairing impaired skin barrier function — all essential factors in managing conditions such as acne, rosacea, sensitised skin, premature ageing, dehydration, and environmentally damaged skin. Their formulations are based around what they describe as “Nutridermaceutical Technology®,” designed to enhance ingredient delivery while supporting hydration and skin resilience.
One of the key reasons we love Dermatonics is its commitment to avoiding unnecessary or potentially disruptive ingredients often found in mainstream skincare. The range is formulated to be gentle yet corrective, without relying on harsh stripping agents, excessive fragrances, or inflammatory additives that may compromise skin health over time.
Dermatonics strongly respects the skin’s natural barrier and microbiome, recognising that healthy skin functions better, heals better, and responds better to advanced treatments. This philosophy aligns closely with our own approach at MediSkin — focusing on skin integrity first, rather than chasing aggressive short-term results.
We particularly value Dermatonics for clients with:
  • Sensitive or reactive skin
  • Rosacea and chronic redness
  • Acne and inflamed skin conditions
  • Barrier impairment and dehydration
  • Post-treatment skin recovery
  • Ageing and environmentally stressed skin
Prologic Skincare — Advanced Corneotherapeutic
Skincare from New Zealand

Prologic is an advanced professional skincare range from New Zealand founded on the science of corneotherapy and corneobiology. Its philosophy focuses on supporting the skin’s natural biological functions rather than aggressively over-treating the skin.Prologic works to repair and preserve the skin barrier, microbiome, acid mantle, and overall skin function — recognising that many chronic skin conditions are linked to inflammation, barrier impairment, and sensitisation.
The formulations combine skin-identical ingredients, essential fatty acids, vitamins, antioxidants, and advanced botanical actives that work in harmony with the skin, while avoiding many unnecessary ingredients that may compromise skin health, such as harsh preservatives, fragrances, silicones, colours, and disruptive emulsifiers.
The range is particularly suited to:
  • Barrier impaired or sensitised skin
  • Rosacea and inflammatory conditions
  • Acne-prone and congested skin
  • Hormonal and stressed skin
  • Pigmentation and ageing concerns
  • Post-laser and post-procedure recovery
At MediSkin Skin & Laser Clinic, we value Prologic for its intelligent, evidence-based and holistic approach to creating real skin change while maintaining skin integrity.

Please note: Prologic products require a professional Skin Consultation prior to purchase to ensure suitability for your individual skin needs. If you have already completed a consultation with us, please contact us to place your order.

WHAT is a
Dermal Clinician?

Dermal Clinician is a graduate of Victoria University, Melbourne who has successfully completed the Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Dermal Therapies and is a financial member of the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians (ASDC).  This unique degree as well as the ASDC have been specially designed to cover the need for qualified and registered training and education in the area of non surgical skin treatments and the operation and understanding  of lasers and light based equipment in the Skin industry.
Dermal Clinicians are specifically qualified and trained to the highest level to administer and assist in medical and aesthetic cosmetic and skin care treatments.

As well as providing advanced cosmetic treatments such as light based hair removal, chemical peels and Microdermabrasions, they also assist in the management of Post Operative, Dermal and Scar conditions.

WHY would I see a
 Dermal Clinician?

Today's modern  society and the constant emergence of new  and advanced technologies and products in the aesthetic industry has increased the need for  appropriate training, qualification and  registration .
Dermal Clinicians are trained to the highest degree and follow strict protocols and guidelines when performing therapeutic/remedial treatments.
A dedication to evidence based practice and the maintaining of  continuous education is a minimum standard for every Dermal Clinician.
Unfortunately in  Australia there is no exact regulations for the Dermal Therapy and aesthetic skin industry and therefore a lot of practitioners do not have the necessary qualifications to perform treatments in a safe and successful manner. Therefore make sure to ask your practitioner for proof of training & qualifications by nationally accredited university or training institution (e.g University degree, Light & laser safety training) as well as the type and quality of equipment (medical grade).
A thorough consultation, consents &  test patching are some of the signatures of a Dermal Clinician.
